Leonard W Fayetteville , GA October 24, 2014 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LFX25975SW Ice maker/water dispensor stopped working error code 1f I tried the reset by unplugging the unit for 24 hours. Error came back immediately. Since there were multiple failures (ice and water) I surmised that the failure was at the control board vice the icemaker blower motor. Repair took 15 minutes. We figured out that the electronic control board had gone bad, looked for the part on-line, found the part and a video on how to replace it at appliancepartspros.com. The video gave us the confidence to undertake the repair ourselves. Switching out the board took about 10 minutes and the $150 part saved us $2500 for a new refrigerator.
