Karen D Cincinnati , OH February 07, 2021 Appliance: Model LG REFRIGERATOR Our LG refrigerator stopped working, it was completely dead. We figured out that the electronic control board had gone bad, looked for the part on-line, found the part and a video on how to replace it at appliancepartspros.com. The video gave us the confidence to undertake the repair ourselves. Switching out the board took about 10 minutes and the $150 part saved us $2500 for a new refrigerator. John F East Arlington , VT October 04, 2021 Appliance: Model LG MODEL LFX25960ST LG model lfx25960st interior refrigerator lights stayed on when doors were closed. LG Model LFX25960ST interior refrigerator lights stayed on when doors were closed. Occasionally lights were out when the doors were opened due to an overheat condition in the light enclosure which shut them off for safety. Replaced the incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs to reduce the heat until the problem was diagnosed. Reviewed the symptoms on the AppliancePartsPros website and determined it was the Main Electronic Control Board. Ordered and replaced the Main Electronic Control Board and solved the problem. The repair took about 15 minutes. Left the LED bulbs in place figuring it would be a little easier on the relay. I should mention there was an additional jack on the new board which wasn't used, may have been for a different model or feature. Britt M Fort Collins , CO November 16, 2019 Ice fan error code no ice After watching a few videos, it seemed like I either needed a new ice fan, or both a new ice fan and main control board. So I ordered both. After putting in the ice fan (which was pretty much as straightforward as the video) - the error still occurred. So I replaced the control board too (super easy) - and voila! The ice machine is working great. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

When I plugged it back in, nothing worked and the display and ice maker were flickering and clicking. Unplugged the display connector on the main board and could hear clicking from the main board itself. Replacing the main board and capacitor fixed it. I only replaced the capacitor as a precaution. it may not have been bad, but I did it for good measure. Everything is working great now and I don't have to buy a new refrigerator.
