Lg 6871JB1423N Main Pcb Assembly OEM Part

Replaced light assy , plastic lens, cover along with PCB (control board.)

Replaced control board with updated design that has higher amperage refer light relay. Replaced melted fixture parts.

Removed the freezer drawers, ice maker, and panel that the fan motor is attached to. Changed out the fan motor reinstalled everything and plugged it in, and presto. I had ordered the control board just in case but didn't need it. The fan motor wasn't the easier part to replace but it was the cheaper of the two. Because the old motor would run for just a short time I assumed that it wasn't sending a signal back to the control board telling it that it was running. I was right!!

Replaced Pcb board. After verifying Pcb corrected light problem. Replaced display case.

Replaced the main PC board. I had called the LG 800 number. They offered to set up a local repair visit that would cost an estimated $350. After reading a few reviews of DIY experiences, I ordered the PC board for $100 and replaced it in less than 30 minutes. Worked great.
