Jack T Athens , GA December 21, 2014 Appliance: Model 795.75543600 Getting ff error evaporator fan would run just a short time after resetting pwr Removed the freezer drawers, ice maker, and panel that the fan motor is attached to. Changed out the fan motor reinstalled everything and plugged it in, and presto. I had ordered the control board just in case but didn't need it. The fan motor wasn't the easier part to replace but it was the cheaper of the two. Because the old motor would run for just a short time I assumed that it wasn't sending a signal back to the control board telling it that it was running. I was right!! I had called the LG 800 number. They offered to set up a local repair visit that would cost an estimated $350. After reading a few reviews of DIY experiences, I ordered the PC board for $100 and replaced it in less than 30 minutes. Worked great. After I paid a tech to repair the lights not working in the fridge and after $400.00 to replace the switches they still didn't work. He said I need to replace the main circuit board and that would be around a $1,000 dollars to to that. I found the circuit board and replaced it myself for under $150.00 and 15 minutes of my time. Found the part on your website and ordered and had shipped over-night. Took me about 10 minutes to change board, fixed the problem. A service tech was going to charge us $190 to come out and find the problem and then charge us for the part.
