Description

This washer motor stator assembly is the stationary windings of the direct-drive motor. Replacing a weak or shorted stator restores smooth drum tumbling and strong, consistent spin performance so wash cycles complete properly.

• Creates the rotating magnetic field that drives the rotor and spins the inner basket
• Works with the rotor to provide torque for wash/tumble and high-speed spin
• Common symptoms: drum won't spin or tumble, stops under load, or motor hums without turning
• Burnt odor or visible heat damage on windings can indicate stator failure

• Disconnect power and turn off water; access the motor from the rear panel
• Remove the rotor center bolt and slide off the rotor; strong magnets—handle carefully
• Unbolt and remove the stator; transfer/reconnect the motor position (Hall) sensor and harness if present
• Tighten fasteners evenly; verify drum rotates freely by hand before restoring power
