This log tray cradle is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on log splitters. It holds the log tray that catches the wood when it is split. This cradle attaches to the tray and secures it so that wood being dropped from the splitter does not cause the tray to fall. Over time, vibrations from the splitter may cause the screws to become loose and ultimately cause the cradle to fall off the splitter. The cradle may also become damaged from exposure to the elements over long periods of time. When either of these occurs, the cradle should be replaced to prevent extra work bending over to pick up split wood. Wear work gloves when working on the splitter. Remove the screws holding the wood tray to the cradle. Set the tray and screws aside. Remove the screws holding the cradle to the splitter and dispose of the damaged cradle. Use these screws to attach the new cradle to the log splitter. Reattach the wood tray to the cradle and tighten the screws. This log tray cradle is a black metal part that is sold individually.
