Magic Chef Range / Cooktop / Oven Light, Bulb, Lamp

I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old... Dropped light panel by removing two screws with socket set. Unplugged two terminals and unclipped the light socket from the base. Then just clipped the new socket onto the base, plugged the connectors onto the terminals and remounted the base. Total job was less than 15 minutes. Read more

Went to google and found "Appliance Pros" Information. Pulled up a complete diagram of the cook top. Called and ordered the Switch Kit by describing it from the diagram this was April 1, 2015. I had been told by TWO parts house that the Indicator Light part had been discounted, but you could still get the Lens.
