Magic Chef Light, Bulb, Lamp

I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. After extremely poor support from WhirlpooI and researching numerous U-Tube videos, I fully troubleshot potential failed components and connections. All appeared to function properly, so I reassembled the unit and experienced the same problem as before. Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old... Dropped light panel by removing two screws with socket set. Unplugged two terminals and unclipped the light socket from the base. Then just clipped the new socket onto the base, plugged the connectors onto the terminals and remounted the base. Total job was less than 15 minutes. Read more

Purchased the triple burner and dual burner element. I added my model of stove and I was able to pull up diagrams of the stove parts. The parts were easy to find using the diagrams and the burner elements were marked 17 & 15 so I placed my order. Parts were here in a couple of days. Let there be light! Easy change out and what a difference light makes! I had waited so long I got used to the fridge having only the top light and after changing out the bulbs -- well it is so good to see what is in the back of the fridge again! Just remove the plastic protector, easy as pie to do, and unscrew the bulbs and replace them! Read more

I replaced the controller. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to get to it. The video on the website showed access to the control via the rear panel. On the Kitchen Aid we have, the back panel is part of the range's main frame and does not come off. Turns out, 2 screws behind the fluorescent lamp had to be removed and the entire control panel housing lifts up and can be tilted forward.
