This water level pressure switch senses tub water level through the air hose and signals the control when to stop filling at the selected setting. It helps prevent overfilling and ensures proper wash and rinse performance.
- Monitors water level via internal diaphragm and air-tube pressure
- Signals the control/timer to open or close the inlet valves at the chosen level
- Allows the cycle to advance once the correct fill is reached
- Common failure symptoms include overfilling, underfilling, continuous filling, or cycle stalling while waiting to fill
What's included: 1 water level pressure switch. Install notes:
- Disconnect power and turn off water supply before servicing
- Access the console; move wire connectors and the pressure hose to the new switch one at a time
- Inspect the pressure hose for cracks, kinks, or leaks; seat it fully on the switch port
- Run a quick fill test to ensure water stops at the selected level before reassembly
Also known as: pressure switch, water level control, load size switch.

Tub was overfilling and water would not stop until machine turned off replaved water level valve but did not solve problem Kirk N. • Oak Island , NC • April 19, 2014
Filled tub to about 6 inches and inspected washer. Noticed that the tube leading from the air entrapment bubble on the exterior side of the drum had a small leak in it. Clipped off the part of the tube that had the hole in it(it was very close to the connector nipple) reconnected and problem was solved.
