This push-button door switch senses when your refrigerator door opens and closes to control the interior light. Replace a worn or stuck switch to restore reliable lighting and proper on/off operation when the door moves. What it does:

  • Turns the interior light on when the door opens and off when it closes
  • Common fix for a light that won't turn on with the door open
  • Resolves lights that stay on continuously with the door closed
  • Addresses intermittent lighting from a sticking or damaged plunger
What's included:
  • One door switch
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the refrigerator before servicing
  • Carefully pry the old switch from the liner; protect the surface to avoid damage
  • Transfer wires to the new switch one at a time to maintain correct connections
  • Press the new switch fully into place and restore power to test operation
