Description

This genuine air cleaner cover assembly protects the air filter cleaner on select string trimmers from the elements and exposure to potential debris and damage. This allows the filter to work properly and avoid serious clogs or damage in the meantime. The cover consists of a durable plastic housing, but it can become cracked or damaged over time or due to an incident. In the event that the air cover is broken, it should be replaced right away to prevent further damage or cause issues with the air filter. This genuine OEM air cleaner cover is manufactured by MTD to exact standards. It offers compatibility with several string trimmers from MTD, as well as those from Yard Man, Bolens, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, and Cub Cadet. This kit includes the plastic air filter cover, the plastic insulator, and two metal bolts that attach the cover to the air filter base assembly on the engine. It is recommended to replace the air cleaner gasket at the same time, which will require a separate purchase. Always allow the engine to cool and wear gloves when doing any engine work.
