Description

This belt is a replacement part designed to be used on lawn tractors and lawn mowers. Over time, the belt becomes worn or damaged and needs to be replaced. A worn or broken belt can prevent the blades of the lawn mower from turning all together. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and it is sold individually.If the belt becomes stretched, worn, cracked, or broken, it should be replaced. To replace the belt, begin by ensuring the engine is cooled completely. While wearing appropriate work gloves, remove the blade and debris shield exposing the crank shaft pulley. Remove the drive belt off the crankshaft pulley, towards the engine. Pull the crankshaft pulley off, freeing the belt. Release the belt from the transmission pulley and remove it. Push the new belt through the deck opening and install the new belt onto the transmission. Reinstall the belt keeper on the transmission – this is important because too much friction on the belt itself can cause a fire in the engine. Replace all parts in their appropriate places.
