Description

This carriage bolt is a fastener with a flat tip and a round head with threading along the shank. Also known as coach bolts and plow bolts, the item can be used with many types of lawn and garden equipment. This is a 5/16 carriage bolt that resists turning after the bolt has been tightened. Wear and tear or impact can cause damage to a carriage bolt and lead to the need to replace them.Removing a carriage bolt requires twisting the nut loose from the end of the bolt and then hitting the nut with a hammer. This will begin to move the shoulder out of the lawn equipment. Continue the process until the bolt is loose enough to remove.
