Description

This lawn mower battery brace is compatible with Craftsman, MTD, Kmart, Troy-Bilt, and Yard-Man brands. The battery brace holds the battery in place creating a sturdy surface for the battery terminal to connect to the mower. Without a battery brace, the battery would be able to b around creating an unstable environment for the battery terminal connections, and could cause worse things like a battery leak or a fire. The more vibration the battery is exposed to the shorter its life will be, and an unsecured battery will void the warranty. If the battery terminals become too corroded, mix 1 cup of water and 1 teaspoon of baking soda until the baking soda is dissolved. Then pour the mixture over the battery terminals to dissolve any corrosion. Batteries are toxic, so when changing a battery out, properly disposing of it is recommended. When installing a new battery, place a small amount of petroleum jelly onto the battery terminals to prevent the battery from developing corrosion.
