Description

This is an upper floating idler bracket that is used in several models of lawn tractors. This part is located on the deck and holds the idler pulley in the correct position. The upper floating idler bracket is also responsible for providing the right amount of tension to the blade belt so the lawn tractor operates correctly. In some cases, the idler bracket may break or become lost and it will need to be replaced.A socket wrench and screwdriver will be needed to replace the upper floating idler bracket from the lawn tractor. A pair of work gloves will also be useful. Make sure the tractor is on a level surface and turned off. Disconnect the spark plug wire before removing any covers or shrouds that are on top of the idler bracket. The original damaged idler bracket should be removed before installing the new part.
