Description

This cap pulley is a genuine MTD part that is manufactured for compatibility with lawn tractors. On a lawn tractor, the cap pulley, or pulley cap, along with the idler arm and idler arm spring, create tension on the deck drive belt which allows it to operate.It is normal for this cap to become worn over time. It is a relatively easy repair, but the deck of the mower must be removed. One of the biggest signs of a problem with the pulley is a squealing sound, although there may be no signs that it is wearing out until it breaks completely.This cap pulley is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.
