Description
This choke control lever automatically regulates the combined amount of air and fuel that come together in a small gasoline powered engine's carburetor to give a cold engine a fuel-rich mixture when the motor is first started. The control lever has several positions that allow it to adjust the fuel/air mixture in lawn equipment such as lawn mowers, snow blowers, tillers, chippers, log splitters, and other small gas engines. Over time with regular use, the control lever may become worn and must be replaced. There are several signs that indicate a choke control lever may be failing. If the gas tank is full of fresh gasoline but the engine refuses to start, if the engine starts and quickly floods, or if the engine runs at top speed but does not idle, the choke control level may be need to be replaced.
