This is a genuine replacement carburetor assembly designed for use with select outdoor lawn and garden engines. The carburetor is responsible for creating the fuel and air mixture that goes into the engine to start combustion. If the fuel and air mixture is not correct, the engine can misfire or not start at all. There are several gaskets and moving parts that can malfunction or cause issue. Over time, the carburetor can even become worn and damaged from buildup and regular use. A replacement or rebuild is easier than getting a new machine. When replacing the carburetor assembly, it is important to allow the engine to cool completely and wear gloves. Work in a well-ventilated area and be sure to disconnect the power supply before starting any engine work. Remove the old carburetor assembly and replace it with the new unit, and then reassemble the engine. This OEM carburetor assembly is manufactured by MTD and designed to be used with several models of engines from Troy-Bilt, MTD, Craftsman, Bolens, RYOBI, Yard Man, Yard Machines, and select other models. It is sold as a single assembly and doesn't include any other hardware or accessories.
This is a genuine OEM clamp sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is used in various lawn and garden machines to connect hoses to fittings. It is used to connect piping to water pumps, exhaust pipes to exhaust manifolds, and other similar applications. This connection prevents fluids or air from leaking from the hose. Clamps may be spring or screw/band clamps. Spring clamps require no tools to install and remove; however, the size must be more accurate than when using screw/band clamps. Screw/band clamps are adjustable and can be tightened or loosened. Screw clamps should be inspected periodically to ensure tightness and that the clamps have not rusted.Hose clamps are installed approximately 1/4 inch below the end of the hose. If two clamps are used, there should be 1/4 inch between the two bands. When using a screw clamp, loosen the screw with a screwdriver just enough to fit the clamp over the hose. If using a spring clamp, squeeze the clamp and hold it open. Slide the clamp over the hose and then attach the hose and clamp to the fitting. Slide the clamp into place at the joint and tighten. Do not overtighten. This brass-colored clamp is a spring clamp made of metal; it is sold as an individual unit. This clamp is compatible with many different types of pipes made by various manufacturers.
This exhaust piping is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer; it is used on tiller engines and other small engines. The exhaust piping is part of the muffler system. It connects to the exhaust manifold. As gas is combusted to run the engine, it is forced out through the exhaust manifold and the exhaust piping. This process heats the pipes for a short period. Over a period of time, this repeated heating can cause the exhaust piping to deteriorate. If this happens, the piping will need to be replaced in order for the exhaust manifold to function correctly. If the engine is experiencing overheating problems, the exhaust pipes will need to be replaced when it is fixed. Overheating will cause them to deteriorate much faster than normal.Allow the engine and exhaust manifold to cool before replacing the exhaust piping. Remove the exhaust pipes from the exhaust manifold. Inspect the manifold for visible signs of damage while the pipes are off. This would be a good time to replace the exhaust manifold gasket. Install the new pipes. The exhaust piping is made of durable black plastic and sold as an individual unit. It is compatible with tillers, chipper shredders, snowblowers, and other small engines manufactured by Cub Cadet, MTD, Troy-Bilt, and Yard Machines.
This part is a carburetor stud. A carburetor mixes fuel and air before delivering it to the engine. The carburetor stud, often called carb stud, is used to ensure a tight seal between the carburetor and the intake manifold. It is important that air and other dirt or debris do not enter the engine, and so this seal between the carburetor and the intake manifold is very important.A carburetor stud may need to be replaced if it is stripped or worn. Of course, a new carburetor stud will be needed if it is missing. If the carburetor and the intake manifold do not have a tight seal, it could be possible that new carburetor studs are needed. This part is a genuine MTD part and is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This specific carburetor stud is compatible with engines, lawnmowers, and log splitters manufactured by MTD, Yard Machines, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Husky, and Troy-Bilt.
