This genuine OEM starter handle is sourced directly from the manufacturer. The starter handle is the visible part of the starter rope component of the pull-start system. This starter system is standard on outdoor lawn and garden equipment. The starter handle is attached to the end of the starter-rope by means of a pass-through hole on the handle. The rope is pushed through the hole, tied, and pulled back into the handle to conceal the knot. The starter handle is made of durable plastic. The heat from the sun and repeated daily use may cause the handle to weaken and break. Cracked starter handles can become a safety hazard. Gripping and pulling a cracked handle can cut skin. Broken handles can also be hard to grip, making it difficult to get a good pull on the starter rope. Thankfully, replacement is simple and no tools are required. Make sure the spark plug is out of the machine to prevent accidental engine starting. Push the rope back up through the handle. Untie the knot but do not let the string go; push it up through the hole in the new handle and tie a knot in the end. Reinstall the spark plug. The starter handle is sold as a single unit. It is designed for leaf blowers, wood chippers, and small engines and is compatible with MTD, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, and Yard Machines.
This is a genuine OEM valve cover kit which contains the valve cover and inner gasket. The valve cover covers the engine's valves on chippers, tillers, log splitters, and other outdoor lawn and garden equipment. The cover protects the valves from exposure to weather and prevents oil from seeping out and causing damage. The gasket inside the valve cover ensures the lid is sealed tightly against the engine.Valve covers and the gasket require periodic inspection and regular maintenance. An inspection will indicate if removal and replacement are needed. Maintenance assures the gasket is replaced periodically to keep the seal tight. Heat, rain, snow, and normal wear and tear can lead to cracks in the cover and the gasket. Leaking oil, smelling burned oil, engine misfires, and reduced engine performance are good signs that the gasket and cover need to be removed and replaced. A screwdriver is required to remove and replace the cover. Always perform repairs in a well-ventilated area. This OEM valve cover kit is sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold as a single unit. Screws are not included with the valve cover kit. This valve cover kit is designed for various model MTD, Cub Cadet, Yard Machines, and Troy-Bilt engines.
