This starter ignites the combustion engine for a compatible, small engine snowblower or chainsaw. When operating correctly, through slight force, the user is able to start the engine and associated components. Replacement becomes necessary if recoil abilities are diminished or if the engine won't start when the starter is engaged.This product is a durable metal and plastic component. Use over time or exposure to an outside environment can cause this part to crack or warp, decreasing the ability to start the machine. Replacement is simple and may require a screwdriver, nut driver, and pliers. Remove the screws from the blower housing to expose the recoil starter. Remove the old recoil starter, and replace with a compatible starter part.
