Description
This genuine OEM replacement part idler pulley plays an important part on many lawn tractors, mowers, and snowblowers. It drives the engine's belt system, particularly the belts connected to the crankshaft. It helps to create motion throughout the engine, including in the steering pump, air compressor, and the alternator. Therefore, without this pulley, the engine will not function properly. As with any part of an engine, an idler pulley will begin to wear down over time. When this happens, an idler pulley will begin slipping, causing the belts to no long run smoothly. If an idler pulley breaks completely, the engine will not start.
