Description
This is a 28 inch, left-hand auger spiral assembly, made of metal, that is used in snowblowers. This sleek, helix-shaped auger is the part of the snowblower that draws the snow inside the machine so it can then be propelled elsewhere. As this is a left-hand auger, it rotates differently than a right-hand auger.With normal snowblower use, these parts can become worn or damaged. A common cause of a broken or bent auger is when a snowblower hits a rock or other hard object hidden under the snow. This causes the auger to be incapable of moving the snow into the housing and through the chute. When this happens, the auger must be replaced. To ensure that the snowblower works properly, augers should be inspected regularly and replaced when found bent or broken. Replacing the auger is a process that requires a few steps. Unplug the spark plug to disable the machine, then remove the belt covers, drive pulley, and lastly the auger. This part is sold separately and is a genuine OEM part.
