A flange nut's unique wide flange design distributes the nut's pressure over the part it is securing. In return, it creates an even fastening surface, which reduces part damage and nut loosening. This one-piece all-metal fastener has a lock nut version that features a protruding circular flange. This drastically increases bearing surface, compatibility either for irregular or oversized holes, and surface tension reduction.
Flange lock nuts are the preferred type of fastener for many lawnmower models because it can provide better fastening than regular screws, which are known to loosen under extreme vibration. However, it’s important to know that flange lock nuts are susceptible to wear and tear due to constant vibration exposure. It is essential to replace the broken flange lock nut immediately to prevent serious damage to the lawnmower.
The MTD 712-04063 Flange Lock Nut OEM replacement can be used with Craftsman, White Outdoor, Yard Machines, MTD, or Columbia lawnmowers. It is a genuine or OEM MTD replacement part that measures 5/16-18. It is threaded and requires the use of a wrench. This replacement flange lock nut is sold individually. An MTD bolt carriage may also be needed and is sold separately.

The nut-hex flange 5/8-18 features a hex nut with a wide flanged portion at one end. This flange will act as an integrated washer that does not spin. Since the flange acts as a washer, it ensures that the nut can fasten to the material's surface evenly.
If any of these nuts are removed from a machine to do other work, it is recommended to replace them with a new nut-hex flange. Check the nuts that are currently on the machine at least once a year. Make sure they are properly tightened and that they are in good condition. Replace them as needed.
This OEM part will work for many types of equipment, including lawnmowers, edgers, snowblowers, and lawn tractors. The part will work with many brands, including Ryobi, Poulan, Bolens, Yard-Man, MTD, Yard Machines, and Troy-Bilt.

A flange lock nut, also known as a flange lock or a lock nut, is created to be used in various types of lawn and garden equipment. This flange lock nut holds other parts in place and, when properly threaded, will resist loosening. Over time, a flange lock nut may begin to weaken and may become loose or break. If it appears to be broken or weak, a replacement is required. Flange locks can be adjusted and uninstalled after use. When replacement is required, you may need a socket set, screwdriver, hacksaw, and butane torch. The socket wrench will loosen the bolt it is connected to, while the torch is used to heat the lock nut. A socket wrench may remove the nut, but sometimes cutting it with a hacksaw is required. This flange lock nut is a genuine OEM component directly from the manufacturer and comes in an individual unit. It is made of metal, a gold color, and can be found in various areas of lawn equipment. It works with lawnmowers, trimmers, snowblowers, cultivators, tillers, and leaf blowers by Poulan, MTD, Toro, Cub Cadet, Murray, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Yard Machines, Craftsman, and Yard-Man.

The friction wheel for a snowblower is sometimes also known as a friction disc or a friction ring. The friction wheel is what helps to move the snowblower forward. When the disc is in contact with the spinning drive wheel, the disc will rotate and turn the axle to propel the snowblower. Over time, the friction wheel can start to wear down or even break. If this happens, it will mean that the snowblower will move slowly, or that it might have erratic movements. Owners who find that they are having similar problems with their machine will want to check the friction wheel to see if it is damaged or broken. They will need to replace the disc before they can use the machine efficiently and safely. The genuine OEM replacement friction wheel is for use with snowblowers, and it is sold individually. Compatible brands include Cub Cadet, Craftsman, Troy-Bilt, Yard-Man, Montgomery Wards, Bolens, Huskee, MTD, Yard Machines, and Ryobi.

This carriage screw is a replacement part for Craftsman, Yard-Man, MTD, and Yard Machines lawnmowers and snowblowers. Carriage screws are made from durable metal and have a flat tip with a round head and threading on a portion of the shank. These screws may also be called coach screws or plow screws and are corrosion resistant, strong, and resistant to scratches. If a carriage screw breaks or beings to become weak, replacement may be required. In many cases, it’s possible to inspect the screw to determine whether it is still doing its job. The screw might be rusted or appear beaten up, which means it should be replaced. In most cases, it can be removed using a wrench unless the rusting is extreme. The new screw can be placed into the original hole and tightened to keep your snowblower running correctly. This is a genuine OEM replacement component for use with lawn tractors and snowblowers. It’s made of metal and can be found in various locations depending on the tool model. The screw comes as an individual item and will require the use of a wrench to install.

Part Number: 941-0245
This genuine OEM replacement auger bearing flange fits a wide range of snowblowers. The auger is the part of a snowblower that scoops up and moves it away from the area being cleared. It is held in place by a bearing, and this flange connects to the bearing to reduce friction and motion. This flange helps prevent grinding, which would degrade the bearing and cause the auger to stop working effectively. Bearings and flanges receive a lot of wear and tear because they are built to absorb friction. Over the natural course of an appliance's life, bearings and flanges will normally wear down and need replacing. If a bearing flange snaps, the auger will no longer turn, and the snowblower will not move snow. To replace a bearing flange, use a socket wrench to gain access to the belt cover and then detach the auger housing. Remove the pulley and thread, then take the auger out of its housing. Pull out the old auger bearing flange and install the new part. This part is compatible with Yard Man, Troy-Bilt, Craftsman, Bolens, MTD, Huskee, and Yard Machines snow blowers. It comes sourced from the original manufacturer and ships individually.

Part Number: 732-04460
This replacement extension spring is a genuine OEM part for a snowblower. Extension springs are used to hold parts in place, usually mounting them to the outer housing frame. This extension spring links the housing frame to the drive plate assembly. By using a spring, the assembly can sit separately from the frame but still be supported while the snowblower is in operation. This prevents the part from shifting about inside the appliance. When springs are held in position for an extended amount of time, they will slowly begin to lose some of their tension. Should this happen, the drive plate assembly will no longer be held as securely to the housing frame. It could begin to shift about and slip out of alignment. To replace a worn-out extension spring, use a socket wrench to open the back housing and remove the old spring using a pair of pliers. Carefully attach the new part and reassemble the housing. This replacement extension spring is a high-quality part sourced from its original manufacturer and is compatible with Troy-Bilt, Craftsman, Yard Man, MTD, and Yard Machines snowblowers. It does not include any additional hardware and ships individually.

This is a brake puck intended for use with lawnmowers. It is made from durable material and is part of the brake assembly. The purpose of the brake puck is to create pressure on the brake disk whenever the brake pedal is pushed. This part is essential to ensuring the lawnmower stops when a user presses down on the brake. Over time, the brake puck will start to wear down and may need to be replaced. One of the indications that the brake puck needs to be replaced is a squealing sound that occurs when the brake pedal is pressed. This happens because the brake puck wears down, and metal is able to rub against metal. If the problem isn't fixed, it can cause additional issues with the lawnmower. The brake puck should be replaced using a socket set and wrench set. This brake puck is designed for use in lawnmowers manufactured by Craftsman, Toro, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Murray, Yard Machines, MTD, Huskee, Bolens, Yard-Man, and MasterCut. It is sold as an individual part. The puck is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer.
