Description
This extension spring attaches to the axle support bracket and the drive belt idler pulley on many types of lawn and garden equipment. It creates additional tension to the drive belt idler pulley. Sometimes the extension spring can be stretched out or may break, often caused through excess use. If this is the case, the spring will need to be replaced.If the spring is broken or no longer creates the appropriate amount of tension, replacement is required. It is an easy process that only requires a set of pliers. The pliers can be used to take the old spring off of the yard equipment before attaching the new extension spring. Make sure the equipment is on a stable surface and powered off when working with it.
