Description

This is a wedge assembly that is made for use with log splitters. The component is located on the hydraulic cylinder of the splitter. This part presses into a log so the piece can be split quickly and easily. Over time and with use, the wedge assembly may become damaged or break. When this occurs, the log splitter may not operate correctly and the part will need to be replaced.When replacing the wedge assembly, a hammer, adjustable wrench, and socket set may be needed. A pair of work gloves will also be useful. First, turn off the log splitter and place it on a stable surface. Make sure the spark plug wire is disconnected. Remove the bolts holding the old wedge assembly in place and remove it from the tool.
