This flex tube is a genuine MTD part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is made as a replacement part for blowers. Especially since it is made of plastic, it is normal for it to need replacement from extended wear and tear.This is a relatively easy repair, although some disassembly of the engine and the equipment is required. To replace the flex tube on a blower, allow the engine to cool completely, disconnect the spark plug to prevent the equipment from accidentally powering on, and empty the fuel tank. Next, detach the blower nzle and extension tube. Loosen and remove the swivel blower tube, detach the cable clip, and remove the screws attaching the original flex tube. Replace the flex tube.
