The Oven Light Assembly is an OEM part for Whirlpool ranges. This part lights up the interior of the oven, allowing you to monitor the cooking process without opening the oven door. 

Over time, the oven light assembly can fail due to normal wear and tear, exposure to extreme heat, or electrical issues. 

Symptoms of a bad oven light assembly include:

• The light not turning on when the oven door is opened or when the light switch is activated
• Flickering or dim lighting inside the oven
• A broken or missing protective cover

The light switch assembly controls power to the appliance light circuit. Replace a worn or faulty switch to restore reliable on/off operation when your lamp won't turn on, won't turn off, or works intermittently. What it does:

• Opens and closes electrical contacts to supply or cut power to the light
• Controls cavity or task lights as designed for the specific model
• Typical symptoms: light won't turn on, won't turn off, or flickers/intermittently works
