Very smooth. I ordered the door and the control panel. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands when removing the screws from the door or place something under it so it doesn’t drop. The door comes off with about 10 screws. They are different length. Short screws go into steel, long go into plastic. Remove the door and upper facia/control panel. I easily found the replacement part on the Appliance Parts Pros website and ordered (2), one for each end of the handle and yes it is the same part for either side. They showed up a few days later. I had seen a video of how to expose the handle screws behinf the door face.
