Color change went from black to stainless steel Wayne J. • Harleysville , PA • January 12, 2019
Very smooth. I ordered the door and the control panel. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands when removing the screws from the door or place something under it so it doesn’t drop. The door comes off with about 10 screws. They are different length. Short screws go into steel, long go into plastic. Remove the door and upper facia/control panel. You’ll need to disconnect the wires. The panel has two parts that need to be transferred. 1. The electronic panel. It’s white and has a row of...

The Check Valve Flapper is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. It is a small but crucial component located within the water inlet valve assembly. The check valve flapper regulates water flow into the dishwasher, allowing water to enter during the fill cycles but preventing backflow when the water is drained.
Causes of a bad check valve flapper can include wear and tear over time, mineral buildup that causes sticking, or damage to the flapper itself. This prevents the flapper from opening and closing as intended.
Symptoms of a bad check valve flapper include:
- Slow or incomplete filling of water
- Dripping or leaking water from the inlet area
- Error codes related to water issues
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore dishwasher models.

Continuously plugged spray arms from disintegrated rubber sump Bruce B. • Tega Cay , SC • December 27, 2014
Pulled dishwasher from the cabinet and flipped onto its side. Easy access to sump and drain flapper valve that I also replaced. Rubber sump coming apart into soft pills & chunks and plugging spray arms. Better now but it's rediculous that GE would make components that dissolve this way.

GE dishwasher leaking. 10 yrs old. Vicente B. • Columbus , IN • January 06, 2019
Although that this is a 10 yrs old appliance, I decided to repair it as it is part of the entire set in the kitchen. I used the tips on the videos at AppliancePartsPros site and was easy to replace the parts and fix. Only the Inlet sump was leaking, but I decided to replace all parts that are made with similar material to avoid further problems. I was a good decision as the pump suction tube was showing signs of start leaking. I would suggest AppliancePartsPros make that kind of suggestion...

This dome float is the replacement water-level float that helps the appliance sense and control the tub's water level, restoring reliable fill and shutoff behavior. Use this OEM-fit float when the original is cracked, stuck, or missing. What it does:
- Moves with rising and falling water to actuate the water-level mechanism and help prevent overfilling.
- Can reduce symptoms such as improper fill levels, continuous filling, or intermittent fill shutoff when the existing float is damaged or obstructed.
- Works as part of the washer's water sensing system—does not include electronic switches or housings unless shown.
What's included: One dome float (single replacement float). Install notes:
- Disconnect power and unplug the appliance before starting any repair.
- Access may require removing the washer top or cabinet; follow your model's service instructions.
- Inspect surrounding hoses and clips; replace any damaged components and ensure the float moves freely.
