This truss-head machine screw secures a switch to its mounting bracket or panel. Replacing a worn or missing screw restores a solid, aligned switch fit for reliable operation.
- Fastens the switch body to a bracket or chassis panel
- Helps keep the switch aligned for consistent actuation
- Replaces stripped, corroded, or missing mounting hardware
- Common symptoms: loose or wobbly switch, misalignment, rattling or vibration around the switch area
What's included: 1 truss-head machine screw (#8-32 x 3/16) Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing
- Start threads by hand to avoid cross-threading; tighten snugly without overtightening
- Verify thread size and length match the original hardware
- If multiple screws secure the switch, replace them in a consistent pattern to maintain alignment
