Removes cooking odors, smoke, and grease from recirculating microwave vents. Replace when odors persist despite cleaning. Confirm fit by model number.
When Microwaving food, the display panel would seem to act normal, but the typical microwave sound would be absent. No microwave action would occur. Eventually an F5 code would display. Problem was the upper door switch. Found it by opening up the cabinet, removing the display panel (1 screw and a couple of plugs) and testing all three micro switched with a meter. Replace your microwave's halogen bulb to restore interior and cooktop lighting. Recommended when bulb burns out from normal use. Verify fit by model number.
The replacement lamp fit perfectly. I had tried other replacement lamps from the hardware store but wasn't able to find one that would fit. The lamp socket on the microwave was slightly smaller than a standard bulb. Read more
