The Water Line is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It is designed to transport water from the home’s supply to the refrigerator, enabling the production of ice and the dispensing of fresh water. This tubing is essential for the refrigerator's water and ice features to function correctly, ensuring clean, clear water is available at all times.
Symptoms of a bad Water Line include:
- Noticeable leaks or dampness along the line's path.
- Decreased water flow to the dispenser or ice maker.
- Unusual noises like buzzing or humming from the line when the dispenser is used.
Causes of a bad water line can include physical damage such as cracks or punctures, blockages from mineral buildup inside the line, or deterioration due to aging or environmental factors such as heat or pressure.
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore, ensuring broad compatibility across multiple refrigerator models.

Water spraying from filter supply line in back of refrigerator Marcus E. • Spanaway , WA • February 03, 2015
First, water and electricity don't mix, so make sure to unplug your refrigerator before beginning this repair - it shouldn't take more than an hour, so you shouldn't have to worry about spoilage. My water dispenser began making a hissing sound from the back of the fridge when you pressed the dispenser. Upon inspection, I discovered the 1/4" feed line into the filter housing assembly had cracked. I ordered the 1/4" feed and 5/16" return lines, figuring to replace the return line while I was back...

Refrigerator light was buring constantly generating excessive heat (2 60 watt bulbs) and melting plastic parts Nancy V. • Newport Beach , CA • November 06, 2015
Was able to diagnose problem at AppliancePartsPros.com by entering the model #. This is apparently a common problem with this Refrigerator
Replaced Light Socket Assembly, Lamp Reflector, Lamp Case and Lamp Cover. Also replaced the main circuit board (not sure if this was necessary).
The wiring on the Light Socket Assembly was different than the original, so it was a bit confusing how to assemble it, and no screws were provided to attach it to the Lamp Reflector - figuring this out took most...

This run capacitor provides the continuous electrical boost needed to keep the refrigerator's compressor motor running efficiently. It stores and releases energy to maintain the proper phase and voltage for the compressor during normal operation. Replace this capacitor if the compressor struggles to start, hums without running, shuts off intermittently, or if the refrigerator stops cooling altogether.

Lg refrigerator compressor would intermittantly hum and shut down but then start normally minutes later Don C. • Pearland , TX • July 23, 2016
After watching repair videos, I decided I could order the parts needed and do it myself for less than a service call, not to mention the additional cost for parts markup and installation that a service technician would charge. I am very pleased that I did. I ordered the start relay, overload and capacitor with some help from Ilya at customer service to make sure I was getting the correct replacements. Installation was easy. The hardest thing was contorting my body into a position where I could...

Broken snack drawer guide Robert W. • Lapeer , MI • January 16, 2017
I was unable to find the snack drawer guide which was mounted under the middle of the large shelf for my LG refrigerator. In the parts description for my model the snack drawer was mounted under a small shelf. By ordering a right hand drawer guide with a right hand shelf bracket, I was able to move the left shelf bracket and guide from the large shelf to the small shelf. Connector was leaking Joseph C. • Aston , PA • August 24, 2015
Cut off old connector and attached new one. Was very easy. But then the water line sprung a leak above the connector. Once on, the connector can't be removed, so I had to order another connector (paying shipping again), cut away the connector and leaking section of hose, then reinstall the new connector. All very easy, just annoying. Shipping was very fast so it made it easier to deal with.

LG french door refrigerator lights failed Phil M. • Santa Cruz , CA • November 06, 2019
So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. All repairs were easy and the videos and posts are all helpful.

I replaced the evaporator fan motor, defrost thermostat & circuit board. I replaced the fan motor since it did not operate. While i was in there making the repair i read online it was beneficial to replace the defrost thermostat. Before i ordered i checked to see if fan motor was getting power and it was not so i deducted that the circuit board was not supplying power. I took a chance and ordered a new board since it was available from appliance pro and I'm glad i did. Refrigerator works great....
