Don C Pearland , TX July 23, 2016 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LRBC20512WW Lg refrigerator compressor would intermittantly hum and shut down but then start normally minutes later After watching repair videos, I decided I could order the parts needed and do it myself for less than a service call, not to mention the additional cost for parts markup and installation that a service technician would charge. I am very pleased that I did. I ordered the start relay, overload and capacitor with some help from Ilya at customer service to make sure I was getting the correct replacements. Installation was easy. The hardest thing was contorting my body into a position where I could see what I was doing. The only problem I encountered was that the capacitor terminals were farther apart than the original. I simply cut the plastic on the wiring harness into two parts so I could plug in the wires. I also used a can of compressed air to clean the dust off of everything. My refrigerator is back to it's normal self for $35 including shipping. Thank you AppliancePartsPros! Darryl B Justin , TX July 01, 2017 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LFX25950SB00 LG french door with indoor ice and water dispenseor code IR on display and stopped defrosting. Replaced ice maker fan - Did not fix the IR code. Replaced defrost sensor, Main Pcb assembly and capacitor because I would be in that area changing the Pcb. Everything works like new. The Main Pcb most likely fixed all problems but the defrost sensor and capacitor were cheap and I didn't want to take anything to chance. So far all is working again - $150 for repair parts vs $2500 for new refrigerator. ?? The Pcb and capacitor took 15 min to replace, easy access on back of refrigerator. The defrost sensor took about an hour because the freezer drawer and slides rails have to come off to get the back wall of freezer out.
