The Convection Fan Motor is an OEM component for LG stove tops and ranges. It refers to the small electric motors used within certain LG gas or electric range models.
Causes of a faulty cooking range motor include normal wear from years of operation in high-heat environments. Grease and food deposits can also impair motor performance over time.
Symptoms of a bad motor include:
- Loud grinding or humming noises from inside the range
- Reduced or no ventilation/air flow during cooking
- Convection bake features not functioning properly
- Motors failing to start or run at all
This OEM LG part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.

Very noisy convection fan Daniel P. • Tampa , FL • June 08, 2019
Ordered a new convection fan motor and blade. Had to remove current blade from inside oven, then remove back panels (yes, it took two to get to the fan motor), and replaced the motor. Old motor well past shot. Had been noisy for about 3-4 weeks, but our kitchen was being remodeled, so we let it slide.
Once it was clear how to remove back panel, the job was easy. Took about $100 and 2 hours of my time, but the oven convection fan is running silently again. Have not installed the new fan...

The mother board had failed Dan M. • Olive Branch , MS • May 19, 2014
We called Chris Appliances to come out to fix our LG Oven , they said it was the mother board that was causing the top oven burner to burn the food. They told us that it would approximately $500.00 to fix it. We told them to go ahead and order the part. They told us it was on back order with LG . Two weeks went by and they said it was still on back order, time is running short for us, so I surf the web found Appliance Parts Pros.com called them, then called Chris Appliances to get the part #...

It was very easy to find the part we needed, I put the model number in and it showed all the parts. Picked the broken buner, ordered it and was amazed, it came the next day. The directions were on the back of our stove. Simply followed what it said to do. Replaced burner, put it back together. Works perfectly. Wish we would of fixed it sooner. Saved having to have a service call.
