- Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning work to avoid shock or injury
- Note connector locations and wire routing before removing the old harness; take photos if helpful
- Re-seat each connector fully and secure the harness to the chassis to prevent chafing or pinching
- If you see burned or melted connectors, inspect surrounding components and replace as needed
