Gaggenau Refrigerator RC462701 Parts

Light fixture for bottom-mount refrigerators. Installs inside the fresh food compartment. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to restore interior lighting.

This insulating part provides thermal and electrical isolation for internal appliance components to help prevent heat transfer and protect wiring and nearby parts from electrical contact. It replaces a worn or damaged insulator to restore safe separation. What it does:

• Shields wiring and terminals from direct contact with metal components to reduce risk of shorting or arcing
• Limits heat transfer between adjacent parts to help components run within intended temperature ranges
• Helps secure and position small components or harnesses inside the appliance
• Common symptom: visible melted, cracked, or missing insulation near wiring or control areas
• Common symptom: intermittent electrical faults, arcing sounds, or burn marks around terminals

• Disconnect power (unplug appliance or switch off breaker) before inspecting or replacing parts
• Replace only with the correct insulating part and orient it the same way as the original
• Handle carefully to avoid damaging the insulator or nearby wiring; use basic hand tools as needed
