Replaced the ice maker. The kit came with everything I needed to replace the ice maker. Parts that did not come with the kit were re-used from the old one. My Whirlpool refrig/freezer is an older model so the wiring harness that came with the kit was different from my existing. The Water Reservoir Tubing is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool refrigerators. It is a flexible plastic tubing that replaces the water reservoir and holds the water for the ice maker and dispenser.
Causes can include cracks from heat or cold exposure over time, punctures from sharp edges during installation, or deterioration of plastic tubing that impacts integrity.
Symptoms of bad water reservoir tubing include:
- Inaccurate or inconsistent ice production
- Leaks or water spills near the reservoir or ice maker
- Kinks or ruptures in the tubing that obstruct water flow
- Mineral buildup that clogs or restricts the line
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and some Kenmore models.
Note: As per manufacture this is no longer a tank. The tank style has been updated with coiled tubing.
