I took the new seal out of it's packaging and used a blowdryer on low heat to soften up the seal so that the crease from shipping (it was folded to ship) disappeared. Next I took the refrigerator door off, removed the old seal, & cleaned the area where the new seal would be applied. Following the video on the Appliance Pro Parts website, I re-installed the new seal and put the door back on. Last step was to snap on the new hinge cap I ordered. Internet videos provided troubleshooting help. Verified ice maker working by shorting terminals and then verified valve was bad with ohmmeter check. Troubleshooting Info available with Google youtbube search. Part arrived with 3 days. 30 minute change out. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was 10+ yrs old and during the change out the water filter housing which has connecting tubes from the water inlet valve began leaking, possibly from movement of the tubes during the changeout.
