This bale strap is a direct-replacement part that helps secure the dryer's latch/bale assembly so the door closes and stays closed during operation. Replacing a worn or broken strap restores reliable door engagement and safer drying cycles. What it does:
- Anchors the dryer door's latch/bale so the door remains properly closed during operation
- Prevents intermittent door opening that can stop cycles or cause heat loss
- Replaces a stretched, torn, or broken strap that no longer holds the latch securely
- Works with the door/latch mechanism to maintain safe operation during drying
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power before beginning any repair to avoid electrical shock
- Verify strap routing and attachment points match the original before reinstalling
- Basic hand tools are typically required; avoid forcing plastic clips to prevent breakage

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
High level of noise with each compressor cycle Bruce H. • Bonita Springs , FL • July 24, 2015
The installation of the new condenser motor was as the video described; there were no surprises. I noted the difference in operation immediately, the fan was moving at a higher rate of speed in a smoother motion. The new motor had far less shaft end play and seems to move more air across the condenser coil than the original motor. All in all, this was a relatively easy repair that solved a real refrigerator performance problem; the unit now cycles less often and generates less compressor heat.
