I had water on the floor infront of my fridge every morning and i didn't know where it was coming from Lance W. • Warren , MI • May 16, 2015
Well, I thought, "huh," and began to investigate. I pulled the fridge out and looked around and I couldn't really figure it out, then I looked at this thin aluminum tray that's bolted to the top of a compressor, the "Evap Tray." It looks like a one-inch deep cake pan--it was rusted and it had some pinholes in it and it was leaking. So, I looked in the phonebook at local sources and I ordered one, it was $87 + shipping. Then I was curious and I looked around on the internet and found...

No cool compressor would not start fan and lights running Brian R. • Chesterfield , MO • February 14, 2015
First replaced start capacitor but that did not work, the start kit which has a relay and overload protector is what was needed. The relay is actually the only part that was bad I believe.
After pulling the relay off the compressor you could shake it and it rattled, the new one did not.
Really pretty easy and definitely cheaper than a service call.

Freezer was icing over blocking port holes to the fridge section Samuel K. • Summit Point , WV • April 06, 2016
I defrosted the freezer and replaced the defrost temperature switch on the cooling coils. I cut the wires and used two small wire nuts to complete the splices. I defrosted the freezer with a hair dryer, but you have to careful not to melt the thin plastic walls and bottom of the freezer. You only need a nut driver, wire cutter, and wire stripper and two small wire nuts, (not supplied with part).
