First replaced start capacitor but that did not work, the start kit which has a relay and overload protector is what was needed. The relay is actually the only part that was bad I believe. After pulling the relay off the compressor you could shake it and it rattled, the new one did not. Really pretty easy and definitely cheaper than a service call. Read more

With new part - three screws to re-attach the motor to the plastic housing- most difficult part was putting two rubber caskets in slots attached to fridge metal plate I could not find any suggestions on line so I forced it in- hopefully not breaking this $100 part - it did not seat perfect but all is done and fan runs properly Read more
