The Door Seal is an OEM component specifically designed for Whirlpool dryers. It works to create an airtight seal between the dryer door opening and drum interior. During operation, heated air and moisture are contained within the drum thanks to this crucial seal.
Symptoms of a worn door seal include:
- Increased drying time due to air leaks
- Clothes not drying completely before end of cycle
- Excess humidity escaping into home
- Discoloration or residue buildup on door glass
Causes of failure are normal wear and compression over extended use, or damage from improper door closure. A worn seal degrades efficiency and performance of the dryer.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

This signal switch controls the appliance's buzzer/alert level, letting the unit sound or change beeper volume so you can hear end-of-cycle or error alerts. It replaces a failed or intermittent buzzer control for reliable audible notifications. What it does
- Sends the control board a signal to enable or adjust the buzzer/alert tones
- Restores audible end-of-cycle and error notifications when the original switch is worn or unresponsive
- Commonly replaces switches that feel loose, don't click, or fail to change the buzzer setting
- Works as the user-accessible control for enabling/disabling or adjusting buzzer functions
What's included
Install notes
- Disconnect power before servicing to avoid shock or damage
- Handle wiring and connectors gently; verify and match terminals before reconnecting
- Reassemble panels and test buzzer function before full reinstallation

Dryer would not stop at end of cycle Castulo C. • Woodstock , GA • June 29, 2015
Replaced the signal switch and it fixed the problem. The signal switch also sends a signal to the motor driving the timer switch to turn off at end of cycle. My signal switch was defective; upon replacement dryer now works fine. The part costs were 45 dollars and time to replace was about 30 min. Figured I saved about $130 bucks vs. a technician coming over to fix.
