The Door Seal is an OEM component specifically designed for Whirlpool dryers. It works to create an airtight seal between the dryer door opening and drum interior. During operation, heated air and moisture are contained within the drum thanks to this crucial seal.
Symptoms of a worn door seal include:
- Increased drying time due to air leaks
- Clothes not drying completely before end of cycle
- Excess humidity escaping into home
- Discoloration or residue buildup on door glass
Causes of failure are normal wear and compression over extended use, or damage from improper door closure. A worn seal degrades efficiency and performance of the dryer.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Moving to a propane home? Convert your natural gas dryer to LP with this orifice kit. Straightforward DIY process takes 1.5-2.5 hours with careful work.

Natural gas to propane conversion Jeff D. • Rancho Cucamonga , CA • March 17, 2014
I'm not an appliance mechanic and have never worked on a dryer before, but I have worked as an instrument technician and lightly dabbled in HVAC repairs. We moved from natural gas to a new home with propane, so purchased this kit to make the conversion. In my mind I thought it would be fairly quick and easy, change a few fittings, etc, but realized upon reading the instructions that I needed to disassemble most of the dryer.
The work was straightforward but since this was my first time...

This signal switch controls the appliance's buzzer/alert level, letting the unit sound or change beeper volume so you can hear end-of-cycle or error alerts. It replaces a failed or intermittent buzzer control for reliable audible notifications. What it does
- Sends the control board a signal to enable or adjust the buzzer/alert tones
- Restores audible end-of-cycle and error notifications when the original switch is worn or unresponsive
- Commonly replaces switches that feel loose, don't click, or fail to change the buzzer setting
- Works as the user-accessible control for enabling/disabling or adjusting buzzer functions
What's included
Install notes
- Disconnect power before servicing to avoid shock or damage
- Handle wiring and connectors gently; verify and match terminals before reconnecting
- Reassemble panels and test buzzer function before full reinstallation

Dryer would not stop at end of cycle Castulo C. • Woodstock , GA • June 29, 2015
Replaced the signal switch and it fixed the problem. The signal switch also sends a signal to the motor driving the timer switch to turn off at end of cycle. My signal switch was defective; upon replacement dryer now works fine. The part costs were 45 dollars and time to replace was about 30 min. Figured I saved about $130 bucks vs. a technician coming over to fix.

This elbow redirects a fluid or air line inside the appliance to allow routing around components and tight spaces. It restores proper flow path and helps stop leaks or blockages when the original elbow is cracked or worn. What it does:
- Provides a sealed change of direction for a water, drain, or vent line inside the appliance
- Replaces a cracked or broken elbow that can cause leaks, water pooling, or reduced flow
- Re-establishes the correct routing to prevent kinks and stress on connected hoses or tubing
- Helps eliminate intermittent draining or venting issues caused by a damaged fitting
What's included: One elbow. Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water supply before accessing the part
- Verify orientation and routing before removing the old elbow to ensure correct reinstallation
- Inspect and replace any worn clamps, gaskets, or hoses when installing the new elbow
- Tighten fittings to secure but avoid over-tightening which can crack plastic components

Kenmore Elite dryer stopped functioning. Bruce B. • Lone Tree , CO • November 01, 2021
I found the Appliance Parts Pros website and WOW! I am very grateful that I found the website! I called the phone number on the website and there was a woman who took my call and was extremely helpful with helping me determine an optimal course of action. She advised that I follow the video that was on the website to verify that I needed a dryer belt. This had been my assumption up until the time I had spoken with her. but I was not basing my assumption base on seeing that I needed a new dryer...
