The Whirlpool Motor Pulley is an OEM part for Whirlpool clothes dryers. It is the component located on the dryer drum motor that transmits power to spin the dryer cylinder and tumble clothes during operation. It allows the belt to grip effectively for transmission of torque from the motor.
Symptoms of a bad Motor Pulley include:
- The dryer drum failing to spin and tumble clothes during cycles
- Abnormal squealing, grinding or belt slipping noises from inside the dryer
- Minimal air flow and prolonged drying times
Causes of failure can include cracks or deterioration of the pulley edge from prolonged use, the belt wearing grooves into the pulley, or loose mounting bolts allowing wobbling.
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

No heat gas dryer all other functions working Fred P. • Moon Township , PA • March 18, 2018

Of course the igniter functions like a mini oven broiler element. Simple as that if you know what you’re...
