The installation of the new condenser motor was as the video described; there were no surprises. I noted the difference in operation immediately, the fan was moving at a higher rate of speed in a smoother motion. The new motor had far less shaft end play and seems to move more air across the condenser coil than the original motor. Since my Kenmore freezer is over 30 years old, the part number was no help when searching on the Sears website for a replacement. Found one on this website, ordered it, received it in three days, and installed it. Installation was simple. I used a screwdriver to pry the old light out of its mount, unplugged it, plugged in the new one, and pressed it into place. Voila Read more

The new overload/relay kit corrected the problem. The Panduit/zip-ties supplied in the replacement kit didn't fit where the illustration showed in the directions but smaller zip-ties connected together did fit and held the relay against the compressor just fine and the sealant had good squeeze-out.
