The installation of the new condenser motor was as the video described; there were no surprises. I noted the difference in operation immediately, the fan was moving at a higher rate of speed in a smoother motion. The new motor had far less shaft end play and seems to move more air across the condenser coil than the original motor. All in all, this was a relatively easy repair that solved a real refrigerator performance problem; the unit now cycles less often and generates less compressor heat. Read more

I simply popped old clip out with my fingernail. Then pulled the connection straight apart,noteing the location of internal parts (diode,bulb ).Reconnect the new part noteing same location as before.Not sure if this step is necessary, but it can't hurt. Push wires back in and snap clips in place. Took about 3 minutes! Read more

The new overload/relay kit corrected the problem. The Panduit/zip-ties supplied in the replacement kit didn't fit where the illustration showed in the directions but smaller zip-ties connected together did fit and held the relay against the compressor just fine and the sealant had good squeeze-out.
