This is a replacement mounting screw used to secure the defrost timer assembly to the refrigerator control housing, restoring proper fastening and preventing the timer from shifting or vibrating during operation. What it does:

• Secures the defrost timer to the control housing so the timer stays in position.
• Prevents vibration or movement that can cause intermittent contact or noisy operation.
• Helps maintain reliable defrost cycle timing by keeping the timer properly aligned.
• Addresses symptoms such as a loose or missing fastener, rattling behind the control panel, or a timer that shifts when the door is opened.

• Unplug the appliance before starting work to prevent electrical shock.
• Access the control housing or timer bracket per your model's service instructions.
• Use the correct screwdriver or driver bit; do not overtighten—stop when snug to avoid stripping.
• Retain removed hardware for reference and compare screw length/threads before installing.
