This basket trim is the replacement edge trim that snaps onto the dishwasher rack to protect dishes and prevent wear along the rack perimeter. It restores a smooth edge and helps keep items from catching or chipping. What it does:

• Covers and protects the exposed metal edge of the dishwasher basket/rack.
• Helps prevent dishes and glassware from chipping or snagging on a rough rack edge.
• Restores a finished appearance to a damaged or missing rack trim.
• Reduces contact noise and wear where dishes meet the rack perimeter.

• Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any repair work.
• This part typically snaps onto the rack edge; remove the rack for easier access.
• Replace any broken clips or adjacent trim sections to ensure a secure fit.
• If plastic is brittle or rack is heavily corroded, consider replacing adjacent components rather than forcing installation.
