I, William’s mom, broke the handle so I felt responsible for the repair. I’m 60 years old and not too mechanically inclined! I called your customer service number and the very nice guy, who was taking my order, was the most helpful young man! The front door glass of my ge xl44 gas range was shattered by a flying crockpot Kurt N. • South Williamsport , PA • May 10, 2017
I lifted up the door and removed it.
Next, I laid out newspaper on the floor.
I placed the door on the newspaper upside down.
With my socket driver, I removed the bottom door trim.
I then used a pocket knife to remove the remaining glass in the top groove.
I then slid in the new glass and reinstalled the trim.
It took 30 minutes to replace the glass and clean up the glass
fragments from the previous door glass.
I looked up a video on how to replace it Utube.
