This lock lever is the replacement latch arm that engages the oven door lock mechanism so the door secures during self-clean cycles and normal operation. It restores proper door engagement and helps the oven door lock and latch reliably. What it does:
- Moves the latch assembly to secure the door when the lock engages
- Prevents the door from opening during self-clean or locked states
- Common symptom: oven won't enter or complete self-clean because door won't lock
- Common symptom: door feels loose, won't latch, or makes scraping/obstructed noises when closing
