Bad compressor Harvey K. • Reno , NV • October 10, 2016
Hired a repair professional. This is an expensive fridge so I wanted to repair rather than replace.
The estimated cost for the repair was quite high, but at least it was itemized. I went on-line and found Appliance Parts Pros, and bought the major plus one minor part from them. I arranged with my local repair guy to use the parts I bought on-line.
RESULT: I saved $370 by buying my own parts, probably could have saved more with a little more effort. Appliance Parts Pros was easy to deal with,...

Ice crusher repair GE Monogram counter depth. Glenn J. • El Cajon , CA • July 27, 2020
This was a very easy repair, the on-line video at AppliancePartsPros.com was helpful.
The Helix was spinning freely (meaning, the Auger Blade was not holding it in place on the Auger).
Pulling the assembly apart was a snap, and very logical (the video is perfect if you get lost).
The family is now enjoying both crushed and cubed ice - and the redesign of the Auger Blade seems to prevent clogging in the ice shoot.

Missing hardware for fridge doors Anita K. • Crossville , TN • July 03, 2015
We bought a used fridge and forgot to get the hardware to mount the doors. Looked up the model on your website. Using the pictures I was able to order just the parts I needed and not to duplicate anything (or leave anything out!). The parts arrived and because I watched the "how to" video I knew to use the "trick" to hold the doors up while attaching the hardware. Had the doors mounted in less than 15 minutes!.. Thanks

The Icemaker is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. It is designed to produce ice cubes by automatically filling the ice mold with water, freezing it, and then ejecting the ice into the ice bucket. This part ensures a steady supply of ice for your household needs.
Causes of a bad icemaker can include mechanical wear and tear, electrical failures, or issues with the water supply. Over time, the icemaker’s components can degrade, leading to inconsistent ice production or complete failure.
Symptoms of a bad icemaker include:
- No ice production
- Small, misshapen, or hollow ice cubes
- Ice maker not ejecting ice
- Unusual noises from the ice maker
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Ice maker would not exspell the ice after it was made. Leesinger K. • Jackson , WI • April 03, 2014
I found that the Ice Maker in my GE side by side made ice but would not kick out the ice when it had formed, the heating element or the switch that controls it didn't work. I ordered a new ice maker switched it out took less than 3 minutes. The cord was very stiff and just long enough but I got it to connect and in 35-40 minutes I had fresh ICE!!
